One of the well- recommended lodgings in Sri Lanka is Casa Heliconia, Kaleliya which is very accessible from the new highway from the airport to Colombo.  This relaxing country treat will definitely make your vacation so worth it.  Enjoy its stylish pavilions that are adorned with intricately carved doors and glamorous chandeliers and fabrics while you cool down at its poolside summer house.

If you are anywhere near Kandy, there is the Rangala House which used to be a tea planter’s bungalow.  Enjoy a 180 degree scenic view of the lush hills and green valleys.  It is also 1,000 meters above sea level so you can expect cool nights.

The Kikili House, Galle Town which is owned by husband and wife Koki and Henri is a 5 bedroom Bed and Breakfast.  Here, guests can expect to be treated like family.  The Kingfisher, Unawatuna Beach has rooms with a very nice view of the Indian Ocean and will allow you to enjoy different water activities.

The Mudhouse, Anamaduwa which comes with an organic farm that allows them to use their own fresh produce is another interesting lodging to check out, and last but not the least is the Lake Lodge in Colombo which is the first inexpensive boutique hotel in the island.  It is a family home that is converted into a modern B&B.
